I have this friend who’s a Giants fan & when she went into work this morning her two coworkers left this on her desk.
Normally I’d say it’s not nice to rub a victory in people’s faces, after all the shit I got from Giants fan friends last year… I support this.
Dodgers are out but Clayton Kershaw and Matt Kemp might be up for some high individual awards Cy Young and the MVP. Kershaw leads the NL with 236 strike outs 2.30 ERA and 19 wins a very impressive stat line. Kemp .315 BA, 33HR and 39 SB strong season after last season when people said he wasn’t a hard worker. From the season start he has been working hard and can tell he is a leader out there. Although the Dodgers will finish the season 3rd in the NL West I think that both of these players should be leading in votes for these awards.
If things had been just a little different in 1958. http://www.flipflopflyin.com/flipflopflyball/info-lagsfd.html
The Dodger fan in me hates the thought of this. The graphic designer in me thinks it is beautiful and clever.
This just doesn’t sit right.
Kevin has upped the banana snapping game.
I asked my brother to snap a banana, he said “I’ll get it all over my hands!” I didn’t know what he meant until he sent me this.
Great snap kev
Andre Ethier has just went past half way of the all time hit streak 29 held by Joe DiMaggio’s record 56 game streak. Great day to be a dodgers fan.
now that the giants put the banner up, i can stop hearing about it finally!!! and focus on the dodgers series which i will be attending 2 out of the 3 games, i will let you know how they treat me as a dodgers fan, after that tragic thing that happened down in LA. i dont run my mouth and i keep to my self, but some guys there will have their beer muscles. next report will be monday night after the game.
Let’s make it 3 in a row today dodgers we need this great start to the season. Kemp has showed up to play that’s great to see.
lets put the 2010 season behind us, dodgers finished second to last place and let the SF Giants win the west and in the end the WS. Did the the off-season moves make a difference? i think it was a great choice to let R. Martin go, it have been a few season since he has been his all-star self. Danny Navarro should be good addition the the lineup he was one of the leaders on the Rays Championship team a few years ago. One of the things the dodgers had to face this off-season is the hole in LF WHO would they move there in place of Manny? so they came up with what looks like a 1 2 punch of Marcus Thames and Tony Gwynn Jr. they both had an decent 2010 campaign for the padres and the Yankees. hopefully this will work out this season with the rest of the rest of the outfield being solid (as long as they stay healthy). This season will should be Andre Either, James Loney and Matt Kemps, comeback year. They all have something to prove like staying healthy and stepping up and being leaders of this years squad. I would love to see Either get his due he deserves it solid fielder and great bat.
A big Void the dodgers have had for the past 5 seasons has been there pitching whether its the staring rotation or the bullpen, they haven’t had a number one in a while, i want to see Clayton Kershawh at only 23 he can become one of the games top pitchers. He has been named the opening day starter verse the Giants which against them they only have a .243 BA and have hit only 1 HR. The Dodgers throwback jersey games will be cool to see, i think most people wanted to see the classic white or grey with Brooklyn across the chest but instead we will be seeing in 6 reg season games vs:ATL,CHI,CIN,DET,PHIL,SD. The uniforms are an homage to the 1940s, uniforms were chosen by Dodger fans in an online vote earlier this month, beating out two other throwbacks one from 1911 and another one from 1931.
This season will hopefully be a turn in the right direction with all of the young talent and new additions. i will love to see the Dodgers open up the season with a sweep of the defending champs, is always a good feeling going into the season, but will everyone remain healthy… all of us that bleed Dodger Blue sure hope so. lets give the rest of the Nl West a nice run this season, i just don’t want the season to be over with at the end of August. Lets go Dodgers
